Our Agreement With You

What IMMI will do.

  1. Supply you with a newly released IMMI Smartphone at no cost to you, which you may use as long as you continue to meet the eligibility requirements and fulfill your obligation as a research panel member. 
  2. Pay for voice, text, and the cellular data plan (internet access necessary for our research program, but you can use it too). You will be able to dial up to 1000 phone minutes and allowed up to two 411 directory assistance calls each month as part of the special plan developed for the IMMI Smartphone.  There is unlimited text messaging.  International calls and DirectBill purchases will not be available (e.g. ringtone, games, graphics from Cingular or 3rd party).  
  3. Reimburse you for any cancellation fees you incur when you switch from your current cell phone service to the service carrier we offer. You may choose to keep your current phone number.
  4. Note the media you are exposed to.
  5. Keep all of your individual data strictly confidential.

What we ask you to do to be a research panel member:

  1. Make the IMMI cell phone your principal cell phone, and keep it powered on and with you at all times. This includes carrying the phone with you around the house. If you are in a setting where you do not want the phone to ring, such as a movie or doctor’s office, you can set the phone Profile to ‘Silent’.
  2. Not share or loan the IMMI phone to anyone else. You were specifically chosen to represent your community. We are interested only in your media choices.
  3. Keep the phone in good working condition, and keep the battery charged at all times on the road and at home. If the charge on the IMMI cell phone battery goes below 10%, IMMI cannot collect data.
  4. Allow IMMI to identify your media choices.
  5. Occasionally, the IMMI cell phone may prompt you to install a software update.  Follow the simple onscreen instructions to update your phone.
  6. Notify IMMI when you go on vacation.
  7. Keep all details of membership to IMMI panel confidential.
